DAR Good Citizens scholarship contest is available to CHS seniors. Come see Ms. Conner for a list of rules and the application. There are two parts to this scholarship contest. Part I consists of the student describing how he/she has tried to manifest the qualities of a good citizen. This part may be completed at home and is to be submitted together with a grade transcript and two letters of recommendation. Part II is a timed essay to be administered under the supervision of a faculty or DAR member. It must be completed in one setting, within a two-hour time limit, and without assistance or reference materials. Each state winner receives $250, national winners will receive $500 and two national winners will be invited to Washington, DC to attend Continental Congress and be awarded $5,000.
