In addition to the basic application questions, the applicant will be expected to complete the opportunity specific questions:
- Are you in the top 25% of your graduating class?
- Do you plan to be a full-time student at one of these universities: Abilene Christian, Hardin-Simmons, McMurry or Clemson? Please state which university.
- Is your gpa 3.0 or above?
- Do you have military aspirations or military background?
- Please provide an essay (200-300 words) answering the following question: What does freedom means to you?
- Letter of Reference: Please provide the name and email address of an adult who knows your character and will submit a letter of reference on your behalf. This letter of reference may come from a pastor, youth director, coach, teacher, volunteer coordinator, employer or long-time family friend. (No relatives).Prior to typing in the name and email address of your reference provider, please make sure to contact the individual to ensure they are willing to serve as a reference. Additionally, you may reuse references in subsequent scholarships if appropriate. To prevent multiple requests from going to the same reference provider, please select the previously solicited reference from the “Choose existing reference” drop-down menu. Each time you type in the name and email address of a reference provider, a NEW request is sent to that person.
This scholarship provides a single $2,000 scholarship paid as $1,000 per semester to the student’s designated university.
