Camp or Club Courage Information

Hedrick Hospice Care provides four programs each year for children and teens experiencing grief. In addition, social workers can provide information on children and teen grief as well as assist in locating resource in your community.

Club Courage

Children teens who have experienced a loss are eligible to attend. Losses are varied and could include but are not limited to death, divorce, separation, incarceration and deployment.

Participants of Club Courage and Camp Courage are led through a variety of grief exercises which ultimately build self-esteem, trust and an understanding of the grief process. Specially trained volunteers and counselors facilitate the activities that encourage self-healing and provide an outlet for unexpressed emotions.

All programs are offered at NO-COST thanks to the generous donations through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and the Kiwanis Club of Texas Midwest. There is a $10 appliction fee for Camp Courage and Camp Courage JR ONLY.

See your school counselor for more details.
