Education Go Get It Week

Education Go Get It Week September 27-October 1, 2010

Clyde CCISD will be celebrating Education: Go Get It! starting Monday, September 27, 2010. Students are encouraged to wear college shirts and Wednesday will be “Hats Off to Education,” students may wear a college hat that day. Students can expect to hear from guest speakers, learn important facts about colleges and careers and hear daily about the importance of continuing to work hard for academic success.

High School Students check out the filing cabinet in the corner of the CHS library for copies of scholarship applications, college information and much more!

Education: Go Get It is designed to enlighten students about the importance of obtaining a high school diploma and continuing educational endeavors beyond high school. On average those obtaining a high school diploma can expect to make about $25,900 per year; those with a 4 year bachelor degree make almost double that amount. (Figures based on information for the Abilene Regional P16 Council). Clyde CCISD Guidance and Counseling wants students to understand that a high school diploma is not only obtainable, but also can be the first step in the process of education.
